What is One Million Web Sites?
You will see the main background image is made of 10,000 small blocks, each block is 10x10 pixels making a total of 1,000,000 pixels.
You can purchase these blocks and place your own image/logo in them with a link to your site. (minimum 1 block) for just $100 a block equivalent to just $20 a year.
Once a block has been ordered (ie before Paypal has confirmed payment) your blocks will be reserved for 24 hours, which allows for any delays there may be in them notifying the server of the payment. Once notification has been received (normally within seconds or minutes) your image/logo and link will be added permanently to One Million Web Sites.
Once your image/link has been permanently added no one else can place their image over yours.
One Million Web Sites is automated, you size and position your image, view it on position and then pay via Paypal and your image and link is then permanently added.
Why 'One Million Web Sites'?
Hi, my name is Giovanni, a friend of mine suggested this idea a few days ago after seeing the popularity of links on MillionDollarHomepage. Where she tried buying an ad for her online T-Shirts store, but it's Sold Out. Because she felt she was just losing too much money advertising with Google, due to click fraud ( lots of clicks, but No-Sales ) I checked it out and noticed most sites and services advertising on there were in the UK, So to start 2007, I thought it would be a great idea if we could duplicate that exciting idea here in the good 'ol USA, And thus giving website owners and my friend's website a little more exposure without worrying about the money being drained from their account due to fraudelent clicks. I figured in order for it to work the site needed to be automated, on account that im in school studying Hospitality mgmt. and when im not in school, I'm out and about spreading the good word of OneMillionWebsites. If you've spent money building it. Advertise it!
You're joking right?
No, I am dead serious. I initially laughed at the idea but considering Google adwords is a waste of money, due to people clicking on the ads on their own sites, and competitors clicking on others ads ( just try running an Adwords campaign for anything.com - pay $1 a click and see how fast your budget will be depleted, If I were a Google stock owner, I'd click on anything that's a Google ad, even if I dont know what anything.com sells - which I dont ). It's the only business model I know of where the stock owners can generate millions of dollars a day for themselves, just by simply clicking on ads or having others click ( hence the ClickBanks ) if you own stock in oil, how many gallons can you put in your car(s)? 30?, If you own Google stock, how many clicks can you perform a day? Millions! to a small online business running a google adwords campaign 30 bogus clicks a day, can ruin their business.
- Here's a site that specializes on selling ready made sites for the purpose of having Google ads and getting clicks. AdsenseReady.com odds are, your google ad will appear on one of these sites
I'll probably be banned from their search engine, Whatever! We intend on partnering with 20 ( content ) high traffic generating sites of different genres, in a link exchange program, whereas our OMW link will appear on their homepage for 5 years, in exchange for a link here, that way assuring a presence on the Internet. The difference with OMW and Google adwords, is that on OneMillionWebSites.com your price is fixed. $20 a year, no matter if your competitors click your add to deplete your budget! Pixel selling is not ours exclusively, but eventually OneMillionWebsites.com will be the site to look for interesting sites, $20 a year? a Great form of web advertising - Basically if your running an internet business, you never know where the next sale may come from - It might even come from the people I talk to everyday telling them about my OneMillionWebsites.com
Why are you selling by the block?
A Pixel is far to small to consider trying to sell, you would never see the image and the link will never get clicked on. A Block is realistically the smallest size you could use.
Why should I advertise here?
What's in it for you? When advertise your site here you are investing in a web site that could get a ton of traffic from links on other sites and exposure, Remember for 5 years, atleast.
When you add your site on OneMillionWebsites' front page, you are giving yourself a chance to suceed on the internet, not just building a site and hoping someone stumbles upon your site url and visits it without advertising. Adding it means a lot of traffic to your site. More traffic could mean more sales for you - if you are selling stuff on the net. You might have clicked on one of the sites already occupying space here, if your site were in that spot, some else might have known about your site. . Anything is possible with One Million Web Sites!
What kind of traffic will I get?
It is true that most of the clicks will be random, from visitors that are clicking on the images to see where they lead. This is not necessarily a bad thing, how often do people stumble across a site and think 'oh I was looking for that' or 'I need that doing' etc.
How long will it be before my image is added?
The system is set up so as soon as it receives confirmation from Paypal that your payment has been made your image and link will be added so you should see it appear on OneMillionWebSites within minutes - Just refresh your browser
How long will the site be around for?
The domain name is currently registered for 5 years and is currently hosted with the good people of HostGator who have helped me alot with the programming and codes, but I plan to keep the site running for alot longer if Hostgator agrees to more time. actually even if i don't make any money - I will feel good cause I offered an alternative to the mom and pop establishments that are selling services and their wares online and can avoid being fleeced by Adwords :-)
